Why WFC Commercial

Downtime costs you. We plan for it.

For a business, the coating is only half the job. The other half is getting it done without shutting you down. We plan the work in writing, test the slab before we touch it, and give you real return-to-service times.

How a commercial job runs

01

Owner on every walk-through

You deal with the owner from the first visit to the final walk, not a salesperson who disappears after the signature.

02

Moisture tested, every slab

Coastal concrete holds moisture. We test before we coat and choose the base coat the result calls for.

03

Scheduled around your business

Phased installs, weekend work and clear return-to-service times so you stay open.

04

Professional-grade materials

Citadel Floor Finishing Systems, a Rust-Oleum company. The same materials on every floor we do.

Systems

Coating systems, matched to the floor

All systems and specs →

Our core system

Full-flake epoxy + polyaspartic

A moisture-tolerant 100%-solids epoxy base, a full broadcast of vinyl flake, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Textured, hides wear, and holds up to vehicles and fluids.

Clean and bright

Solid-color epoxy

A smooth, solid-color base with a clear protective topcoat. Ideal where you want a bright, uniform floor that takes lines and zone markings well.

For damp slabs

Moisture vapor barrier

Coastal slabs often carry moisture. We test every slab first. When a slab tests high, a 100%-solids vapor barrier goes down before the coating system, rated for slabs up to 25 lb.

Extra scratch resistance

Premium wear coats

A satin urethane wear coat with a scratch-resistance additive, or a high-gloss siloxane wear coat over the vapor barrier system, for floors that see the most traffic.

Lanes, zones, walkways

Safety lines & markings

Forklift lanes, pedestrian walkways, hatched no-go areas, lift and bay outlines, painted into the coating system in the colors you choose.

Where every floor starts

Concrete repair & prep

Diamond grinding opens the concrete so the coating bonds mechanically. Cracks, pits and spalls are filled and ground flush first. No acid etching, no shortcuts.

Process

From walk-through to back in service

  1. Step 1

    Walk-through

We walk the space with you, measure it, check the slab, and ask about traffic, chemicals and the hours you can give us.

  2. Step 2

    Written scope & quote

You get the system, square footage, schedule, return-to-service times and warranty terms in writing. No surprises.

  3. Step 3

    Moisture test

Before install day we test the slab for moisture so the base coat matches what's in your concrete.

  4. Step 4

    Install around you

We grind, repair and coat on the schedule we agreed, in phases or on weekends when that keeps you open.

  5. Step 5

    Handoff

We walk the finished floor with you and leave cure times and care instructions for your team.

FAQ

Common questions

Something else? Call or text us.

How long will our floor be out of service?

Most shops and showrooms are coated in one day. Foot traffic is back within hours and vehicles in about 24 hours. Larger floors are done in phases so you keep operating. You get the exact times in writing on your quote.

Do you work nights and weekends?

Weekend and phased schedules are part of how we plan commercial work. We agree on the schedule before the job is booked.

Do you test for moisture?

Yes, every slab. We run a calcium chloride test (ASTM F1869) and choose the base coat for the result. Wet slabs get a vapor barrier recommendation in writing.

What does commercial work cost?

Commercial floors are quoted per project after a walk-through, based on square footage, slab condition, the system and your schedule. The walk-through and quote are free.

What warranty do you offer?

Commercial floors carry the warranty term written on your quote, based on the system and how the floor is used.

Are you insured?

Yes. We're locally owned and insured, and we can send a certificate of insurance on request.

Do you do homes too?

Yes. Residential garages, patios and pool decks are handled by Wilmington Floor Coatings, our residential side.
